Rebuilding of the Land Rover FC101GS
Finding, buying and transport. Starting with disassembly
Found at Ron Bolleboom's Land Rover Shop near Rotterdam
Here is Ron. We needed his forklift truck for lifting the 101. We've removed the propshafts, because it won't move for one inch!
The Jeep Cherokee from John will have to do the towing for the first part of the trip. Going to Schiedam where we will take the body off in order to remove the engine and gearbox.
Read the text in the mirror ;-)
From left to right:
Dick, John, Arend en Leonard (behind Arend)
And me ;-)
Starting with removing the canvas and the doors.
That's going fast!!
Arend and Leonard.
It's a hard life!
Leonard with the roll-bar
Fixing my first puncture and I haven't even driven it yet!
Somebody has to do the job...
Our first trip.
Marcel is in the middle.
Come out of there!!!
Sea water and V8's don't mix very well.
Poor engine :-(
Engine and gearbox in one go.
There they are.
Plenty of space!
The second transport. From Schiedam to Hellevoetsluis
Arend brings a fine trailer from his work.
That winch does a fine job for us.
